We are thrilled to announce that Pan American Zinc is the proud recipient of the 2024 “E” Award for Export Service from the U.S. Department of Commerce Secretary, Gina Raimondo. It is the highest recognition a U.S. entity can receive for making a significant contribution to the expansion of U.S. exports. The high honor was announced on May 14th at the 63rd President’s “E” and “E Star” Awards ceremony in Washington, DC. Pan American Zinc is just one of 30 companies in the United States selected to receive the President’s “E” Award this year.
In her congratulatory letter to the company announcing its selection as an award recipient, U.S Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo stated that “Pan American Zinc has demonstrated a sustained commitment to export expansion. The “E” Awards Committee recognizes Pan American Zinc’s increase in export sales of over 200 percent during the past four years. The company’s flexible and market driven sales and distribution channels were also notable. Pan American Zinc’s achievements have undoubtedly contributed to national export expansion efforts that support the U.S. economy and create American jobs.”.
Pan American Zinc CEO, Dan Marjenberg, stated that “Pan American Zinc is honored to have received the prestigious “E” Award from the U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo. We share this special moment with our customers, our suppliers and our dedicated employees who made this achievement possible”.
About the “E” Award for Export Service: The President’s “E” Award was created in 1961 by Executive Order of President John F. Kennedy, reviving the World War II “E” symbol of excellence to honor and provide recognition to America’s exporters.
U.S. companies are nominated for the “E” Awards through the U.S. and Foreign Commercial Service office network, that is located within the Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration.
